Ферналд Мерритт - Fernald Merritt Lyndon (1873-1950)

Американский ботаник, флорист, с 1897 г. работал в Гербарии Гарвардского университета (в 1935–1937 гг. куратор гербария; в 1937–1947 гг. его директор), профессор естественной истории (1915–1947).

Историческая фитогеография Северной Америки: формирование дизъюнктивных ареалов, реликты и эндемы.
